A ray of hope

Thursday, February 5, 2009

I try to stay out of politics. All politicians are dirty and greedy and it's about voting for the lesser of two evils. Here is a small ray of sunshine that made me momentarily forget what politicians typically do: Clarie McCaskill from MO is sponsoring a bill that limits the compensation that can be received by CEO's that have received bailout money. She even called these people "idiots." It burns me that hard-working people are losing their jobs while they are spending money on corporate jets. We are all in a crises, I think $400,000 will do you fine for now.

She's not perfect, I know, but but it's still nice to see.

Oy yeah, and Blogovehich is gone. That's another step in the right directon.

blogovich will go down in the hall of fame. My favorite part is when they got him on tape calling Obama and asshole or jackass or something like that. I think that is sooooo funny that the dumbass called the president that on tape, he must have one hell of an ego. I also like his hair.

Later Skater...we have ice here I bet they will call off school even though it will melt in 5 min.... wait it melted.

Anna, though I do agree that there definitely has to be some sort of limitation on crazy pay for execs, especially those involved in the bailout, I do question the limit. All of these companies whose CEOs are getting paid, have compensation committees who determine the pay. These committee members are members of the board of the company...so though the CEO may have some influence on their pay (by way of influencing the board), the CEOs can't be blamed for their pay...
